Turmuric: Natures All Natural Cure All
Welcome back To The Smoothie Operation Wellness Fam!
At the moment I am in the Bulk phase of Beach Bodies "Body Beast" workout program, which means I am tasked with performing drop sets, super sets, and pyramid workouts six days a week! Although I took a bit of a hiatus from blogging, my thoughts have revolved around inflammations negative effects on the body and how I can reduce muscle fatigue/soreness post workout. Shortly after I started phase 2, I sat down to some curry chicken and roti, needless to say the answer to my question was sitting right there in my plate! Turmeric's various health benefits are amazing, and today we will focus on the positive effects it has on inflammation and how you can incorporate more of this gold dust into your diet.

Inflammation in and of its self is not a bad thing, it is actually our bodies natural response to fighting infections, resisting toxins and can even stimulate your fight or flight response to danger. Up until recently, had someone told me about putting turmeric in milk, I would have looked at them like they had three heads. Mainly because I associate turmeric with curry, which goes hand in hand with my Guyanese heritage. Basic Ingredients: 3-4 chopped carrots, 2-3 chopped potatoes, 2 garlic cloves, 1 Onion, and a pack of chicken thighs or drumsticks, Lalah's Madras Curry Powder, Chicken Stock and a seasoning salt
